New Friends

Above: All the men.

Above: One of my favorites.

Does it get better than this?

Yep..this pulls at my heart strings and is slightly funny.

Above: Papu and his wife; this is the most affection I have seen within an Indian marriage I think.

I could not get over how tiny this baby was. Not sure if I just had not held a baby in a long time; but I was in awe most of the time.

So, there were many kids at Papu's house, the boatman; including 2 babies that were 1 month old. Oh how my heart lept for joy when I had the opportunity to hold them. So, so incredibly precious.

Hello dear friends,

I am happy to be sitting down and writing to you. Life here has been evolving rapidly and we are really liking it. We are still in language school; we have a few weeks remaining. A new family moved into our flat and they will be studying language as well. It has been wonderful to have new visitors and now some people to share this big flat with. Now, I (Emily) will be gaining a new Hindi teacher and Nick will stay with the teacher we have had all along the way. Now that there are many students here we are breaking up our time more and more. It is a good change of routine for us. It has also been getting so hot here that we are starting to spend most of our time in the community in the later afternoon hours or early in the morning. We reached 104.5 the other day, therefore we knew that we needed to change our outting hours. We have met a new family; they own a boat on the river and that is how we met them. We do know that this particular man has heard the gospel numerous times. He called us today and asked us to come and spend some time with his family at his house. We did. His ENTIRE family was there from Delhi visiting and we all took a liking to each other you could say. He asked us to bring our camera so that they could actually have a family picture. They had a hay day with that. We did not talk a whole lot; a lot of distractions it felt like. I left there a little confused. Did we miss the boat on an opportunity? Was there such thing as a right time during this time span with this family? I don't know, I should know maybe. Anyways, we are going back to talk to him next week and to give him pictures. So, hopefully this is all new seed to a relationship with him and his family.

What precious LITTLE babies you were holding. Remember, God's timing is always perfect, you'll have other opportunities to share with that family...taking their pictures back to them will give you another great excuse! Keep up His good work!
Love,
Brooke
