Here are some of the designs that the women had done on their hand. You can get it done on the palm, on top of hand, or really just wherever.
These are called "biscuits" which are cookies here in the States. You eat them/dip them in your chai. Quite tasty.
We poured a lot of milk to make the chai, she was a great help!
The other night we invited all of the girls who are in our group during training to drink chai and to do henna. Chai is a coffee and milk drink with some spices in it..it is very, very good and it is very sweet. When we move to South Asia we will drink this A LOT..it is the customary drink to be offered when you are invited into someone's home there. So, we made that and one of the girls brought back some Henna from a trip that she had been on. We had some very talented artists I must say, it was a crazy awesome time!
