HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

Sweet, sweet candy!!! My mom sent us a package. IT is so much fun to receive packages; Nick's parents has sent us some with awesome jerky...we both have amazing parents.

We are doing the Turkey trot this afternoon.
Brandy, one of our quad mates made these cut-outs and we put what we are thankful for.

Plans, dinners, and festivities are definitely in the air as we embark on our first Thanksgiving away from home. People on campus are making homemade dinners and some are going out for dinner, and others are starting new family traditions. I believe that we are going out for dinner with some others that are going to South Asia with us, they have become part of our family. It is kind of weird to be away from home for the holiday, but it is good practice for us. Sometimes my mind drifts to all of the people, food, etc. I will be missing as we prepare to move overseas but it is helping us to learn how important communication is with our family no matter how far away we are; technology is wonderful. We had a chance to skype my sister and her family and it was so FUN!! Their eyes bugged out when they saw our face come up on the screen, it was so much fun to experience that. This is a time where we are constantly reminded of how thankful we need to be for what the Lord has blessed us with and so it is a very appropriate holiday to celebrate during our training. Tomorrow I plan for a morning run, and then most likely go back to bed for a bit. Then, some good breakfast followed by our family worship time. We are participating in a Turkey Trot that is being hosted on our campus in the afternoon, and then off to dinner with some friends. What is something that you are thankful for that you don't think about very often? Enjoy your day with in fellowship with family & friends!!
