Biscuits and maple scones.
I cook more than I ever thought possible here. I NEVER thought my kitchen would be my safe haven; I am not sure if this is a forever things or just in India. I think Nick hopes it's a forever thing. I think back to what I did in the kitchen before we moved to India, and I am just not sure how we made it. I guess that is where the Wal-Mart deli is convenient and so is the extra 20-30 pounds that is tacked on to it. Wow.
So, many times we have students, fellow workers stay with us and I always, always think.....what do i make??? I like to bake more than cook, it's easier for me. Earlier in the month we had 2 of the college students staying with us for about 2 weeks. They called us mom and dad......I officially do not feel 23 anymore. So I started making super easy dropped biscuits and I attempted maple scones. The scones didn't taste how I thought they would, then again, most things don't. It also helps to have accurate ingredients, which usually I don't. I often feel sorry for the people who have to eat my food. Anyways, I liked them. It helps when you are a girl who loves anything with starch.
