April

On our way back to the other side of the world.
They are very inventive here. I will give them that.
On our way into Kathmandu, we never know what we are going to see. If you can make it out, this is a man sleeping in the back of a trash truck. Yes.
As we were sitting on the porch, we watched the kids play in the field.
So when we are out and about with ministry, when we are not teaching or traveling we do this! Sit on the porch, watching people and spending time with our partner's family. This is by far one of my favorite things to do here. I've become much more of a porch sitter; I love it.
Above: our 3rd anniversary, in Nepal. Eating YY (like extremely flavored ramen) for breakfast and eating pig fat/organs for dinner that night. It was special and rememberable to say the least!

Above: my two college girls; alana and maggie. what to say???

Gracie's birthday. Above is the family we spend most of our time with; they live a tea garden away and we LOVE them so much! They have taken us in as their own and take such great care of us! Below: Yes, they all take turns feeding cake to each other (tradition) and then they smear it on her face.

Here is an update of what has been happening in April. On our way back to India from the U.S. we stopped in Nepal for some work. It was great! We were able to meet our partner's family who lives there and we celebrated our 3rd anniversary there . . . eating pig lung. We have had students come in and out of our house staying with us; they are always amazing! And my two college girls that live in our building, you will see a picture of them. They are OUT OF CONTROL to say the least! I wouldn't change it for anything though; they certainly keep me on my toes. There is always a story. And we celebrated our partner's daughter's birthday, Gracie is her name. We just love that family a lot! They are our family here and so this was a special occasion for us! Enjoy!!
