Home we are

Hello friends and family,
It has been awhile since we have updated. The last few weeks at training was a bit crazy, but we finished it out. I am going to truly, truly miss the people that influenced me, the kids we hung out with all the time; they just fit into a special place in our heart. We set out to drive home at 5pm Thursday night and arrived home in MO Fri morning around 9:30am. Needless to say we are SOOO excited to be home. We went to my parents' home first (emily) and the home was decorated for Christmas (my mom is an amazing decorator) and the smell of home overwhelmed me. Candles, laundry detergent, etc. entered my nasal senses and I knew I was home. The day kept getting better, we hung out with my family, slept for a few hours, and then set out to get some Christmas shopping accomplished! One of my favorite things to do! Then my niece and nephew came up to spend the night and my heart melted...almost....when I saw them and got to actually pick them up. Two months felt like an eternity to be away from them and I know it will only get harder when we leave for 2 years, but we are trying to absorb them time that we have with our family now. We are going to be home in MO for a month so we are trying to be good stewards with our time and are excited to just be home with our families. We are very, very excited for the future and what is to come; and also extrememly thankful for where we are now and the time we are blessed to have with our families.
